Here's a low-stakes question to get your Friday started: What do you think of Samsung's Galaxy Z Flip? Some early adopters out there must have jumped on the company's second foldable phone, and we want to know how things are going so far.
Engadget
Are you enjoying its built-in stand, or being able to snap the phone closed at the end of a call like we did in the old days? Foldable devices haven't taken over the mobile space yet, and I don't know if they ever will, but at least now there's some data we can all use.

Ford's 2021 F-150 is the first one with a PowerBoost hybrid engine
An in-bed powerstation can pump out up to 7.2 kW of electricity.
Ford
Ford has unveiled the next version of its full-size pickup, and the biggest news is under the hood. It's the first one from a major manufacturer with a full-hybrid option: A twin-turbocharged V6 engine attached to a 35 kW electric motor inside the transmission. Ford didn't reveal horsepower or final range numbers, but said it's targeting an EPA range of more than 700 miles along with "best in class" torque.
The new truck also has an option 12-inch display inside for Sync 4 with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, and it's ready for over-the-air updates that can install in the background or overnight. How COVID-19 killed the era of 'big' flying
The future of flying is smaller, more efficient planes.
Engadget
COVID-19 hit the aviation industry very hard. For Airbus, it sped up major issues it was having with its "superjumbo" jet, the Airbus A380. The company has ceased manufacturing, and major airline carriers are retiring their existing A380s due to the cost of flying them. Airbus' dream of flying thousands across major airport hubs just didn't fit how people use airplanes, and the company suffered for it. Continue reading.
Review: The Lenovo Flex 5 is the best budget-friendly Chromebook
Affordable without sacrificing quality.
Engadget
According to reviewer Nathan Ingraham, Lenovo's Flex 5 Chromebook is probably the best Chromebook out there for most of us. It's affordable, at $409, but it cuts very few corners. The keyboard and screen are great, and it has enough power for most tasks. If you're a power user, you might want a laptop with more than 4GB of RAM or 64GB of storage. But most people in the market for a Chromebook will be quite happy with this laptop. Continue reading.
TikTok will stop accessing users clipboards after iOS 14 exposed the snooping
This wasn't the only app doing it.
A number of people running the iOS 14 beta discovered that TikTok video app would grab the contents of their copy-paste clipboard while they type. That's due to a new alert in the upcoming release that specifically calls out apps for accessing data when you might not otherwise know they're doing it.
In a statement, TikTok said the access was part of anti-spam technology and that an update will remove it. Meanwhile, The Telegraph reports that other apps like Call of Duty Mobile, Google News and Accuweather have also triggered the new warning. Continue reading.
Website Development Contracts, Part 3: Important Cloud and SLA Considerations
The cloud is an essential component of all e-commerce sites. Not all clouds, however, are created equal. The most important part of this discussion is knowing the contractual terms for the cloud services that you might want to buy.
In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic this spring, entrepreneurs Rebecca Cahua and Vivian Qu joined forces, skills, and teams to create and bring to production a reuseable nanofiltration mask that combines a high level of filtration with breathability and comfort. The E-Commerce Times spoke with Cahua and Qu to hear the story behind their new mask.
