It's Friday, June 15, 2018.

Hey, good morning! You look fabulous.

We’re close to wrapping up our reports from E3 2018, but in between the games, we have an update on a new challenger in the EV race and The Boring Company’s big opportunity in Chicago.

Got it?

Verizon makes its unlimited plans even more complicated

Verizon makes its unlimited plans even more complicated

In a move that is somehow both incredibly simple and bafflingly complicated, Verizon has launched a new unlimited data plan and is shaking up the way its family plans work. The pricey aboveunlimited plan is apparently more unlimited than the existing gounlimited and beyondunlimited plans. The new plan includes unlimited data with up to 75GB for HD video, 20GB of mobile-hotspot data at LTE speeds, five TravelPasses, each with a day of international data usage per month, and 500GB of Verizon Cloud service.

"What they've built so far feels faithful to the original game."

The still-in-development game is playable and impressive, even if we didn’t get to jump on the sticks ourselves.

A luxury EV that can tackle anything.

Jaguar I-Pace review

Jaguar I-Pace review

After four years of development, Jaguar’s first all-electric luxury crossover might be ready to take the lead from Tesla. Roberto Baldwin took a drive on- and off-road through Portugal, and came away thinking "I prefer the I-Pace over the Model X."

The Boring Company has been selected as the preferred option to build an express route between O’Hare Airport and downtown Chicago. It's thought that, when running, the journey will take 12 minutes, with fares expected to cost between $20 and $25.

Today's Story Highlights

What Ever Happened to Google Fiber?
A couple of years ago, one of the hottest new technologies was Google
Fiber. Everyone wanted access to it. Every city wanted to be the next on
the list to get it, because it would attract new citizens and encourage
existing residents to stay. It was thought there would be an advantage
to early cities -- my home town Atlanta was one of them. Google Fiber is
an ultra-fast Internet service.

Tech Heavyweights Launch AI Global Marketplace
A group of data, technology, digital services and other organizations
have launched the AI Global Marketplace, an app store that will host
more than 2,000 high-value AI assets focused on customer engagement and
process intelligence problems for the banking, insurance, healthcare and
digital commerce markets. Software assets will be based on the Cognitive
Agent Modeling and Execution Language.

Digitization of Paper-Based Processes
Decades after computers were supposed to end paper-based business, we're
still at it, using documents to send and receive information and act as
proxies in business processes. It's hard to say if paper consumption
slowed thanks to digitization, because good historical use statistics
are hard to find. However, it doesn't really matter, because business is
drowning in paper -- and, more importantly, the expenses associated with
it.

How B2B Sellers Can Keep Buyers Engaged
The gap between B2B buyers and sellers has been growing. More than 70
percent of B2B buyers preferred to wait to engage a seller until the
latter demonstrated a clear understanding of its needs, a CSO Insights
survey found. Nearly 58 percent of buyers saw little difference among
sellers, and more than 10 percent saw no difference at all among
sellers.

Reshaping the Software and Services Marketplace
In the old IT world, systems integration and consulting companies
flourished, helping enterprises of all sizes across nearly every
industry pull together a plethora of proprietary systems from a wide
array of software and technology vendors. Despite the promises of the
cloud, not much has changed. Yet, there are several important
differences in today's IT services requirements that set them apart.

It's Thursday, June 14, 2018.

Hey, good morning! You look fabulous.

As promised, we’ve got hands-on impressions for some of the biggest games on display at E3 2018. Meanwhile, in the world outside the LA Convention Center, we’re looking into Tesla’s latest Autopilot update and how Apple is about to make your iOS device more secure.

A fresh kind of sci-fi dystopia.

In 'Cyberpunk 2077,' you control your own dark, intoxicating future

In 'Cyberpunk 2077,' you control your own dark, intoxicating future

CD Projekt Red, the studio behind the Witcher series, has been remarkably silent since revealing Cyberpunk in 2012 -- developers released one teaser trailer in 2013 and then went underground, leaving sci-fi and RPG fans in the dark for five long years. At E3 2018, they finally turned on the light and let us inside the sprawling, metallic future of Night City.

New weapons will help push the series forward.

In ‘The Last of Us Part II,’ Ellie is a lethal loner

From the little we've seen, Ellie is faster, more agile and way smarter than Joel -- at least when it comes to survival.

Nyko’s PixelQuest Arcade kit builds a cabinet out of cardboard

Off the back of Nintendo's popular Labo cardboard kits, accessory maker Nyko has concocted its own cardboard creation -- the PixelQuest Arcade Kit. Like Labo, it comes flat-packed as cardboard sheets. Where it differs is that the Arcade Kit doesn't come with any software. It's instead meant to act as a miniature arcade cabinet for games that support play on a single Joy-Con.

Apple has confirmed that iOS 11.4.1 and iOS 12 will cut off data through the USB port when the phone hasn't been unlocked in the past hour, shutting out most attempts to use dedicated cracking devices from GrayShift, Cellebrite and others.

'Spider-Man' is my web-slinging dreams come true

Sony first revealed Marvel's Spider-Man for PlayStation 4 at E3 two years ago, but how it actually plays remained a mystery until now. Tim Seppala spent an hour on the sticks to find out how it feels to web-sling through Manhattan so fast the game’s camera can’t keep up

Tesla Autopilot nags drivers to hold the wheel more often

In light of recent crashes where Tesla said drivers didn't pay sufficient attention while on Autopilot, it's rolling out updates to address the problem. The first one, issued several days ago, nags drivers every 30 seconds to "hold steering wheel," instead of at one- to two-minute intervals as before.

Volvo borrows cachet and power from its Polestar EV brand

A $155,000 Polestar 1 plug-in hybrid with 600 horsepower and a 100-mile driving range isn't coming to market until next year, but you don’t have to wait to get the nameplate. Volvo just unveiled the Polestar Engineered flavor of its upcoming S60 hybrid sports sedan and will also offer the option on its V60 estate and XC60 SUV vehicles in 2019. The S60 gets a bump from 400 horsepower to 415 horsepower combined (both the gas and electric motors), as well as a torque increase, new lightweight wheels and Brembo mono-block brake calipers.

But wait, there's more...

1. It makes sense for EA to beat itself up in public and save any positivity for investors

2. Comcast tops Disney's offer with a $65 billion bid to buy Fox

3. Plex's new grid guide gives cord cutters a traditional UI for live TV

4. Opportunity rover stops responding during Mars dust storm

6. Microsoft will reportedly announce HoloLens 2 this year

7. Ring's home-security system finally ships July 4th for $199

8. 'Elder Scrolls' on mobile isn't great

9. Microsoft's Office UI update includes a simpler, cleaner ribbon

10. 'Project 1v1' is a F2P arena shooter from the 'Borderlands' team
